Our donations to the Munich Kinderhospiz and the Schmetterlingskinder
For us, social sustainability means taking responsibility and supporting people and organisations that make a valuable contribution to our society every day.
Thanks to the support of our guests, staff and partners, we have been able to raise funds over the past few months through charity campaigns, events and our Christmas sales. – Today, we are delighted to be supporting two organisations whose work is of inestimable value to many families.
Support for the AKM Children’s Hospice Munich Foundation
Once again, part of our donation is going to the AKM Children’s Hospice Munich Foundation. The foundation supports families with children suffering from serious and life-shortening illnesses, standing by their side during challenging times.
In addition to providing individual counselling and practical support, the foundation creates a safe space for families who have to cope with extraordinary pressures. Through its work, it offers those affected a sense of security, stability and new perspectives.
Support for the Schmetterlingskinder
Another portion of the donation supports EB-Haus Austria and DEBRA Austria. Both organisations work to support people with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare and as yet incurable skin condition.
People with EB are often referred to as ‘butterfly children’. Their skin is so sensitive that even the slightest strain can cause painful injuries. This makes specialised medical care, innovative research and a strong support network all the more important for those affected and their families.
EB-Haus Austria and DEBRA Austria make a crucial contribution in this regard. In addition to providing medical care, they fund important research projects and create opportunities for those affected.

These donations would not have been possible without the support of so many people. Every participation in a charity campaign, every visit to an event and every contribution from our guests, staff and partners has helped to support these organisations.
We are grateful to be able to make a small contribution together and to support organisations that do such great work every day.
