Day trips Munich
FROM STACHUS TO STARNBERG: THE MUNICH AREA
Munich has a lot to offer. But above all, Munich scores points for having probably the most beautiful surrounding countryside in Germany. If you want to experience Munich on a day trip, you can’t miss the famous Fünfseenland, idyllic forests and of course the Bavarian Alps. And where else do you need only twenty minutes by car from the city center to find inner peace…?

Mountain Fun- Partnachklamm
If you have a little more time in Munich, we recommend a wonderful day trip to the Partnachklamm gorge in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The gorge is one of the most fascinating geotopes in Bavaria and can be visited at any time of the year. The hike through the gorge is easy and suitable for children and seniors. By the way, four-legged friends also have great fun and plenty to sniff when walking through the gorge!

Time Out Chiemsee – The Bavarian Sea
Lake Chiemsee is THE vacation paradise and ideal for relaxing day trips from Munich. Convenient and sustainable to reach by train & bus in about 2 hours. A boat trip is a MUST and both Herreninsel and Fraueninsel are worth a visit. If you’re feeling more athletic, you can hike to the many alpine meadows and peaks. Or you can relax and let the cable car take you to the top.

In the footsteps of King Ludwig
If you’re still craving more castle adventures after exploring the grandeur of Nymphenburg Palace, you can embark on an enchanting tour of Germany’s most famous castle. Neuschwanstein Castle is worth a visit at any time of year. On occasion, you can also visit the Hohenschwangau and Linderhof castles.

Holiday feeling at hollerner See
For all those who desire a vacation on the Seychelles, the Hollerner See near Eching is a real insider tip! You can look forward to a crystal clear turquoise lake and an almost deserted lake. Tip from us: It’s best to bring a parasol, as there are only a few shady spots.

Lakeside Sauna at Lake Tegernsee
Especially in winter, when the longing for warmth is at its greatest, a trip to the Monte Mare lakeside sauna on Lake Tegernsee is well worth it. There, you can not only take a sauna in a boat, but even cool off in Lake Tegernsee afterwards. The mountain panorama and the backdrop of the lake make this day trip from Munich extra worthwhile!
